Continuing the undercarriage--removing the brake lines

Our initial plan was to remove and re-assemble the landing gear one side at a time so we'd have a completed mirror image to refer to after painting. One subset of the project is to remove and ship off the brake lines (to be used as models) to have new ones made. What started out to remove the right side brake line on Saturday turned in to removing much of the 'other side' landing gear. The lousy brake lines are exactly the same anyway, so it really didn't make a difference, but I'm confident we'll get it back together without issue. Here are pictures of the right side gear for your viewing pleasure...

Wheel to be blasted and painted.
A reminder of the order of the parts. Of course the bearings will be repacked.
A nice view of a zerk fitting (grease injection port).

Ahhh, the bloody brake line!

A simple 'plumber's' fitting.

I don't know the proper name of this part, but it seems to be the 'mud flap', taking the brunt of gravel and debree that would otherwise be kicked up by the tire and keeping it from entering the wheel well area.

Gear flap--I need to remember to get a placard to replace this red one.
Grungy now, but after Glenn works his magic, it will be pristine!

Stale doughnuts for sale.

The reason d'etre for all these parts coming off early.
